Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business and Australia’s Victorian Government have formally announced a collaboration aimed at enhancing ties and a deeper understanding between Chinese and Australian businesses. The partnership, which kicked off with a joint workshop and panel event in Beijing, will consist of collaboration on events and executive education programs to address business opportunities and challenges of interest to Chinese and Australian executives.

Maekyung Economy, one of South Korea's most widely-read business magazines, published a case study article introducing Alibaba’s success story that focuses on Jack Ma’s strategies. Even during the time when Chinese business people were rarely using the Internet, Jack Ma saw the possibility of the business in 1990s. With investment from SoftBank, Alibaba grew up to defeat eBay with Taobao. An interview with Teng Bingsheng, Associate Dean for Asia and Europe and Professor of Strategic Management of CKGSB, was included in the article regarding the case of Alibaba. On April 28th, 43 EMBA students and faculty from Mexico’s IPADE Business School visited CKGSB’s Beijing Campus for a 1-day program to learn more about doing business in China and strengthening a mutual understanding of China and Mexico.
