On December 2-3, CKGSB will launch its annual China-Korea CEO Forum at the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul. Under the heading, “A Joint Growth Strategy for China and Korea in the Era of the New Normal,” CKGSB faculty and alumni—comprised of industry leaders in China—will shed light on economic trends and best practices for operating in the China market.
On December 2-3, CKGSB will launch its annual China-Korea CEO Forum at the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul. Under the heading, “A Joint Growth Strategy for China and Korea in the Era of the New Normal,” CKGSB faculty and alumni—comprised of industry leaders in China—will shed light on economic trends and best practices for operating in the China market.
Successful Chinese entrepreneurs and CKGSB alumni—such as Zhao Yingguang, Chairman & CEO of Handuyishe; Han Xiaohong, President of Ciming Healthcare Checkup; Li Xiaobai, Chairman of New Silk Road Fashion Organization; Xin Longshan, CEO of VIPSHOP International (Korea); and Shen Dongri, Chairman of Lancy Group—will share their success stories and advice to Korean businesses at the Forum. CKGSB Founding Dean and Professor of China Business and Globalization Xiang Bing, CKGSB Professor of Marketing Juliet Zhu and CKGSB Professor of Strategy Cho Dong-Sung, will discuss strategies for win-win cooperation between Chinese and Korean companies.
The Forum will be preceded by an opening ceremony, entitled ‘Leaders’ Insight Night’ will be held on December 2, enabling entrepreneurs from both countries to network and create partnerships in their respective sectors, including fashion, beauty, media, healthcare and e-commerce. Professor Zhu will give a lecture at the ceremony, encouraging business leaders to continue to achieve results in the era of the “New Normal.”
The Forum on December 3 will commence with a keynote speech by Dean Xiang Bing and alumnus Shin Dong-Il. CKGSB professors and alumni, representing top Chinese businesses, will shed light on issues of common interest to Chinese and Korean enterprises in panel discussions around ‘E-Commerce & New Business,’ ‘Healthcare Business in an Aging Society’ and ‘Entertainment & New Media.’
The China-Korea CEO Forum is a joint session of the broader Dong-A Business Forum 2015, which is Korea’s largest business forum hosted by one of nation’s most influential media groups, Dong-A Ilbo and Channel A. Dong-A Ilbo is the parent company of Dong-A Media Group (DAMG) which includes Channel A. CKGSB and the Future Strategy Research Institute of Dong-A Ilbo, which publishes DongA Business Review and Harvard Business Review Korea, have also been collaborating to provide cross-training (Korea-China, China-Korea CEO dispatch training) for business leaders in China and Korea.
Established in December 2011 under the Dong-A Media Group, Channel A is a cable station located in Seoul, engaged in creating entertaining and educational programs for its viewers.
