From December 30 to 31, 2024, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) and Yonsei University Business School (YSB) jointly organized an academic research visit in Shenzhen. The event aimed to deepen the collaboration between the top business schools in China and South Korea, promote academic progress between the two institutions, and provide a valuable opportunity for cross-cultural communication.
On the morning of December 30, the delegation visited 3Nod Group in Shenzhen to gain an in-depth understanding of the innovative, driven operations and successful practices of the company. After touring the exhibition hall, Liu Zhixiong, the founder and chairman of 3Nod Group, hosted the delegation. The two sides engaged in lively discussions on topics such as technological innovation and sustainable development, offering important insights for future academic and industrial collaboration.
In the afternoon, the academic workshop was held at the CKGSB Shenzhen campus, where scholars discussed the cutting-edge topics in management and business research. CKGSB Economics Professor Li Wei, in his opening speech, emphasized that “this symposium is not only an exchange of ideas but also the beginning of deeper cooperation between the two institutions.” Park Kyung Min, Professor of Strategic Management at YSB, remarked in his special address that the economic ties between China and South Korea are becoming increasingly close and expressed hope for further collaboration between the two schools in academic and course projects.

On the next day, the delegation visited OPPO, a renowned technology company, to gain insights into its leading experiences in technological innovation and market expansion. Through discussions with OPPO executives and a tour of the company, participants enriched their research with valuable case studies from the company’s global development experience.
Although the event lasted only two days, it was rich in content and highly productive. Through enterprise visits and academic discussions, the scholars from CKGSB and Yonsei University Business School not only expanded their academic horizons but also deepened their understanding of industrial practices. This event has laid a solid foundation for future collaboration between the two schools in research, student exchanges, and management education innovation.
With a promising outlook for cooperation, CKGSB and YSB are expected to expand our collaborative efforts in various fields, contributing to the development of global business management education.
