CKGSB 2024 ESG and Social Innovation Report: Driving Responsible Management Education
In today’s rapidly changing political, economic, and cultural landscape, businesses are under increasing pressure to adopt sustainable and ethical practices. In this context, CKGSB’s mission to cultivate transformative business leaders has never been more vital. Since our establishment, we have integrated social innovation and ESG principles into every aspect of our work, nurturing responsible leaders capable of addressing humanity’s most pressing challenges.
This report marks CKGSB’s second English-language ESG report, highlighting our unique innovations and impact through research and insights, programs and courses, partnerships and dialogues, as well as our institutional practices. It demonstrates how CKGSB not only teaches students to embrace ESG and social innovation but has also been “walking the talk” as a higher education institution over the past two years.
As our Dean, Haitao Li, emphasizes, we urge all businesses to align not only with ESG principles but also with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact—of which we are a dedicated and active member—and, crucially, with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This collective alignment is essential for forging a more sustainable and equitable future.
We have submitted this report to the United Nations’ Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), a platform designed to promote responsible management practices for the benefit of society and our planet. As a signatory to PRME, CKGSB aspires to drive positive change for our communities and beyond.
