2014-03-06  - New York

China today is moving into a new era of development beyond the traditional boundaries of red chip finance, FDI, and state owned enterprises. With the explosion of the Chinese economy, a new energetic, innovative spirit is taking hold of how it invests for the future. Already China’s investment in start-ups has created a new Silicon Valley in Beijing that is attracting the world’s leading companies and has become a magnet for innovators and entrepreneurs. China’s investment in culture has shifted the way Hollywood does business, influenced the value of art, and created innovations in mobile entertainment that are being exported to the rest of the world. The changing landscape of Chinese cities has seen the rise of gleaming new megacities at such speed that it has altered global commodity markets and national economies. This sea change in China has opened the door to opportunity wide for a new generation of young entrepreneurs and financial innovators.
