CKGSB Dean Shares Insights with Prestigious US-China Business Group

As a case in point, CKGSB Founding Dean Xiang Bing recently addressed a group of senior business leaders in Washington, D.C.

Addressing one of the world’s most influential US-China business organizations, Dr. Xiang Bing, Founding Dean of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) and a leading authority on China business and globalization, shared his views on the global implications of China’s economic trajectory as well as the evolving relationship between the state and private sectors in China.

As a distinguished guest lecturer at a recent United States-China Business Council (USCBC) event in Washington, D.C., Dean Xiang spoke to a large audience of senior decision makers and business leaders from prestigious organizations including Boeing, Dell, DuPont, JP Morgan, Georgetown University, McGraw Hill Financial and Burston-Marstellar. Some of the highlights of Dean Xiang’s talk included:

  • China’s development mode and its success, the country’s commitment to reform and opening, the guiding role of the state coupled with the potential of the private sector, its unique political system, and a beneficial global environment.
  • Optimism about China’s economic prospects, due to continued potential from urbanization, the growth of the service sector, the size of the market and population, and greater room for liberalization, particularly within the private sector.
  • His hope that Asia, particularly China and India, will take a greater role in global political and economic leadership, in line with their historical roles and their significant potential.
