CKGSB will inaugurate the Alumni Association Korea Chapter on August 27 in Seoul. An event to celebrate the occasion will include speeches from the Founding Dean Dr. Xiang Bing and the President of Incheon National University, Cho Dong-sung. Notable alumni of the school will attend the event, which will end with a cocktail reception so alumni can network with attendees from across South Korea.
Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) will hold an inaugural ceremony of the CKGSB’s Alumni Association Korea Chapter in Seoul, Korea on August 27. Established in 2004, CKGSB’s Alumni Association has been bringing its fantastic alumni network closer together around the world. More than half of CKGSB’s 10,000+ alumni are at the CEO or Chairman level, and they lead one fifth of China’s 100 most valuable brands.
CKGSB’s Alumni Association Korea Chapter will strengthen the alumni network in the nation. On behalf of the Korean alumni, Moon Kook-hyun, Hansol Textile CEO, has been appointed as the president of CKGSB Alumni Association Korea Chapter. During the inaugural ceremony, the Founding Dean of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, Xiang Bing will present the CKGSB Alumni flag to Moon as a symbol of support.
CKGSB established its highly praised Korean EMBA program: A Program for Korean Leaders (CKGSB-aSSIST China EMBA) in partnership with Seoul School of Integrated Sciences & Technologies in order to offer China knowledge and insights to a growing number of Korean business leaders with an interest in business in China. Kim Sang-Heon, Senior Advisor of Naver, Shin Young-su, CEO of Dongwon Homefood, and Kim Han-Kyun, CEO of Costory are among the alumni to have graduated the program.
As part of the launch event, Xiang Bing, CKGSB’s Founding Dean, and Cho Dong-sung, president of Incheon National University will deliver special lectures on the Role of Confucian Economic Bloc. Dean Xiang Bing will speak about ‘China-US Trade Tension and Its Global Implications’, while President Cho Dong-sung will speak about the ‘Political Disruptions Among 6 Countries in Northeast Asia as an Opportunity: China-Korea’s Coupling DPFA (Desirable, Possible, Favorable, Acceptable) Strategies’. Dr. Cho is also a dedicated member of CKGSB’s faculty, teaching DBA, EMBA, and MBA.
