Beijing, China – March 17, 2013

Columbia Business School’s Dean Glenn Hubbard visited CKGSB’s Beijing campus on March 17, 2013. During his visit, Dean Hubbard and CKGSB Founding Dean Xiang Bing expressed interest in collaborating on wider ranges.

Columbia and CKGSB already partner on the Global Business Strategy China (GBSC), which is a short-term program offered to elite cohorts of entrepreneurs and senior executives seeking to understand the global implications of China’s economic transformations. Through this program held in New York, participants also learn to more effectively navigate the intricacies of China’s policies and economy to formulate successful strategies in the Chinese market. In addition to GBSC, the two schools also have student exchanges.

A key factor for the collaboration is the similar profile of the two institutions. “We value the strength of CKGSB’s world-class faculty, whom Columbia Business School has enjoyed working with,” said Dean Hubbard. Both schools also host impressive alumni networks. CKGSB’s alumni include the heads of leading Chinese companies such as Alibaba Group and Tsingtao Brewery Group.
