Biography
Teng Bingsheng is Professor of Strategic Management and Associate Dean for Strategic Research at CKGSB. He formerly served as a tenured Professor of Strategic Management at George Washington University (GWU), where he was a doctoral advisor and lead professor of the departmental doctoral program.
David Zhang has been joined Oatly since 2017 and currently serves as the President of the Greater China. He brought the Oatly brand into the China market. Under Mr. Zhang’s leadership, Oatly China is far ahead of its market peers and is well-known as the lifestyle endorser of fashion, health, cool-play, and sustainability. In the 5 years since Oatly entered China market, it has spearheaded the food & beverage industry to establish the new plant-based protein category in China. In 2021, Mr Zhang was honored by Food & Beverage Innovation Forum (FBIF) with the “Person of the Year” award, which recognizes individuals who are influencing and leading the Food & Beverage industry and its future through their actions. Oatly’s success in China was recognized by Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) as “Outstanding Commercial Showcase”, and has received the “2021 Excellent Management Award” by Harvard Business Review China.
Mr. Zhang has more than 20 years of experience in corporate management roles. Before joining Oatly, he served at Siemens, General Electric (GE), China Resources Group and other Fortune Global 500 companies, and held management positions in sales, marketing, investment, operations and strategic management.
Mr. Zhang obtained Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hohai University in China, and EMBA in China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB). He has also completed the GE ECLP program and Executive Leadership Programme in Yale University in the US.

Zhigang TAO is Professor of Strategy and Economics at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business. He taught at University of Hong Kong from 1998 to 2021, and at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 1992 to 1998. Professor Tao received his B.Sc. in management science from Fudan University in 1986, and PhD in economics from Princeton University in 1992. He has published in various economics and management journals, and his work has been widely cited.
Zhihu SHANG graduated from Renmin University of China with a doctoral degree. He possesses extensive experience in big data business strategy, data product design, digital business operations, and organizational capability development.
With nearly 20 years of work experience in the field of big data applications across various industries, Zhihu SHANG serves as the General Manager of the Digital Technology Center at Yili Group. In this role, he is responsible for driving the leading dairy company, Yili Group, to accelerate its digital transformation, spearheading the transformation of the dairy industry value chain, and achieving high-quality development of the industry chain. Under his leadership, Yili Group has preliminarily established an industry-leading comprehensive digital business operation system.
Weisi Xie is the Shanghai Director at the Economist Intelligence Corporate Network (EICN), and is responsible for engaging with top executives in the region on key economic and political issues as well as industry-specific analysis to support their businesses in the dynamic Chinese market.
Mr. Xie served as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University before joining EICN. As a trained trade economist, his teaching and research mainly focused on the fields of international trade, industrial economics and economic development, with a particular emphasis on China’s economy in a global perspective. He also possesses extensive expertise in the non-profit sector through work experience with think tanks and international organisations, including the Shanghai Institute for National Economy and the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva, Switzerland, where he contributed to multiple government counselling projects and policy studies. His work has appeared in leading academic journals as well as major economic policy publications. He was a contributor to The World Trade Report, the flagship annual publication of the WTO, co-authored with the former Chief Economist of the US Department of State on policy reports of the TRIPS Agreement; he worked with the Trade and Agriculture Director of the OECD onevaluating the patterns of structural transformation across the globe during the course of globalization; his academic research focuses on exploring the role of financial development inshaping bilateral trade patterns and the demand-side effects on international trade structure; he has also recently studied the impact of industrial policies and environmental regulations on the productivity of Chinese manufacturing firms.
Mr. Xie has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a B.A. in International Business from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.
Mr. Jerry Hua is a Partner with PwC Strategy& China, based in Beijing. He has over 16 years of experience in management consulting and corporate, focusing on strategy planning, E-commerce growth, big data driven insights, business model design and digital marketing.
Mr. Leslie TANG has been with Albemarle in the capacity of APAC Finance Director since 2016. Leslie possess +30 years’ experience with incremental leadership role in corporate finance, plant controlling, FP&A, tax, treasury with MNCs. Leslie possess rich cross industries experiences including FMCG, Food and Beverage, Chemical. In addition, Leslie has international exposure in Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia with global implementation of SAP project and rich experience in M&A, Finance Transformation as well as Digital Transformation. Leslie is a CPA in China and FIPA in Australia.
Ms. Ira Zaka heads Global Marketing and Communications at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB). Established in November 2002, CKGSB is China’s first faculty-governed and independent business school. Today, CKGSB has more than 40+ full-time professors, many of whom held tenured positions at leading business schools like Wharton and Yale, and over 20,000 alumni, more than half of whom are at the CEO or Chairman level and, collectively, lead one fifth of China’s most valuable brands.
Since 2010, Ira has enhanced CKGSB’s brand by organizing global business forums, overseeing public relations and social media, and managing partnerships worldwide. She has also enabled CKGSB’s growth in the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
A graduate of Princeton University, Ira has spent over 30 years in China, where she has studied and worked for companies like Amazon and Hogan Lovells, primarily managing public relations and communications efforts.
Ira is fluent in Albanian, Chinese and English.
