Haoyu Gao is a Professor of Finance at Renmin University of China, where he serves as the Associate Director of the Monetary Finance Department and the Deputy Director of the China Banking Research Center. His research primarily focuses on banking and financial intermediation, financial risk management, sustainable finance, and China’s capital market. His representative academic works have been published in top-tier journals including The Journal of Finance (JF), The Review of Financial Studies (RFS), Journal of Financial Economics (JFE), and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis (JFQA).
