About Airlander

Airlander is a very innovative product that could potentially revolutionize global air travel. It takes the best of aeroplanes, helicopters and airships and combines them with the latest innovations in materials to create a truly revolutionary aircraft. The Airlander is a “hybrid” of an aeroplane and an airship, therefore inherently more efficient than other forms of air transport. It uses the very latest fabrics to maintain its shape and is technologically years ahead of other aircraft. Airlander can fly for weeks at a time carrying thousands of kilograms. Airlander has flown before under a US Government program, but is now being developed for commercial purposes, such as freight, remote access, aid distribution, advertising, surveillance, communications and luxury passenger transport. There is already considerable interest in Airlander from China and the wider Asian region.

Airlander aims to revolutionize transport and travel by:

  • Being one of the lowest carbon emissions aircraft in the world, like for like.
  • Having game-changing endurance (it can stay airborne for weeks rather than hours).
  • Providing significantly lower delivery cost for airborne freight.
  • Being able to land anywhere (water, land, desert, ice) thus opening up new point-to-point routes to previously inaccessible areas.

About HAV

As creator of the Airlander, Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV) are the world leaders in hybrid aircraft – these combine lighter-than-air technology with the best of aeroplanes and helicopters to bring brand new capabilities to aircraft. Based in UK and founded in 2007, HAV produces less noise, less pollution, have a lower carbon footprint, longer endurance and better cargo-carrying capacity than virtually any other flying vehicle.

Come and join us as Airlander explains its technologies and market strategy and how China will take a leading global role in the development of this exciting type of aircraft. CEO Mr. McGlennan will also tell the story how the company was spun out of the US military and became a commercial business and how it is thinking about its IPO as it develops. Don’t miss out!
