In recognition of International Women’s Day on 8 March, CKGSB and Asia House will jointly bring together female entrepreneurs, scholars, and business leaders from around the world to share their career journeys and discuss the prospects for women in leadership roles, particularly amid the ongoing global COVID-19 crisis.
Women have made consistent and impressive gains in education attainment and the workplace—from boardrooms to classrooms—in the last 50 years. Despite this, however, men still outnumber women in high-ranking leadership positions by large margins across many industries. There is a persistent belief that there are not enough qualified women to fill existing leadership positions. However, according to JP Morgan Chase’s Gender Leadership Gap Report, there are more than enough qualified women for leadership positions, and women now earn the majority of doctoral and master’s degrees.
Gender diversity in leadership brings creative and diverse viewpoints to the business landscape, which has a lasting impact on an organization’s culture and economic ideals. This being the case, what can be done to promote gender balance in leadership?
This webinar will convene a panel of experts to discuss how to enhance women’s prospects and leadership skills in the workplace, the value women bring to the boardroom, and further consider the stakeholders responsible for developing an ecosystem that allows more female professionals to become decision-makers.
