The fourth China Start program for European entrepreneurs has been successfully completed with another cohort of professionals energized about the prospects for engaging with the China market. Taking place in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, this year’s program comprised of lectures from CKGSB’s world-class faculty, company visits to some of China’s top companies and live pitching sessions, attended by some of China’s wealthiest investors.

Taking place in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, this year’s program comprised of lectures from CKGSB’s world-class faculty, company visits to JD, Techcode, Fosun, Tencent and 3Nod, networking with potential business partners in China and live pitching investment sessions, attended by some of China’s wealthiest investment companies, representatives and angels.

With the Chinese government’s ever-increasing desire for Western technology, CKGSB’s presence in Europe has identified the abundance and diversity of innovation and entrepreneurship, but, equally, the lack of understanding about how to successfully integrate Western businesses into China. CKGSB’s China Start program offers a solution for those who want to understand the Chinese market, grow their business, receive funding and partner with businesses and investors in the Chinese venture ecosystem.
China Start is a five-day China immersion program for start-ups and growth companies to learn China-specific knowledge, network with potential local partners and pitch for Chinese investment. Each edition of the China Start program features investment pitching sessions with Chinese angels, VC and PE investors that can offer participants the possibility to acquire a substantial investment, as well as company visits to network and partner with top-notch industry leaders in the Chinese venture ecosystem.
More than 100 participants have now completed the China Start training program, drawn from 23 countries worldwide, including Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and USA.

Those students also hail from well over a dozen industries, including clean technology, AI, energy, fintech payments, mobile gaming, blockchain, healthcare, agriculture, social media engagement, fashion, mobility, e-commerce logistics and web design.
Typical participants on the China Start Program are high-potential, globally-minded executives, entrepreneurs and investors, who see their team or organization’s future strategy closely aligned with the growing opportunities presented by China, as well as individuals who have the hunger to acquire China-specific knowledge, global network and investment.
