The 5th DELA emphasizes the importance of ‘innovation’ more than ever before. The 5th DELA members had an excellent lecture from CKGSB faculty on the importance of innovation in China, and they then directly experienced the innovation boom by visiting the Silicon Valley of Asia in Shenzhen.

Dean XIANG Bing and Professor Ouyang Hui from CKGSB delivered lectures with practical and essential subjects. Dean Xiang Bing spoke about ‘China’s Transformation and Its Potential Global Implication’ and Professor Ouyang Hui gave a lecture on ’China’s Financial Markets: Opportunities and Risks’. The 5th DELA students said that the lectures are very analytical and the professors are passionate about the subject matter. Moon-Young Choi, a board member of Shinhan Investment Corp commented “It was very impressive that the CKGSB faculty members are actually playing active roles in China’s economic development, and their practical in-depth insights are very helpful.”

The group also visited a top messenger service providing company ‘Tencent’ in Shenzhen. Dean XIANG Bing of CKGSB said at the ceremony that “While Shanghai is a city that has grown under China’s development; Shenzhen is a city where innovation and entrepreneurship have attracted young people with talent. If Shenzhen’s noticeable success model spreads, the Chinese economy will continue to grow as well.”
