One day, CKGSB MBA students might be selling consumer goods, consulting services or start-ups. But on last Thursday and Friday, they had to sell themselves.

On Sept. 18th and 19th, the annual CKGSB Job Fair at Beijing campus brought in prestigious employers including Danaher, Amazon, Johnson & Johnson, Carrie Funds, Tesla, Credit Ease, Lenovo Group and seven subsidiaries of Legend Holding etc. Hundreds of positions, ranging from investment associates to country-level chief business representatives, were listed to welcome student applications. Interested students were invited to interviews right on the spot.

“I’m currently looking for a career opportunity in the Mainland China,” said Jennifer TANG from Hong Kong of Class 2013, “campus job fairs provide us efficient access to opportunities from many employers in one or two days. They do have great jobs.” Jennifer has talked to Amazon and Johnson & Johnson. None of her classmate has left the event without an interview, some even having been invited to further discussions.

Studying at one of the best MBA programs worldwide, CKGSB’s MBA students have unmatched access to career opportunities throughout China and the world. CKGSB’s careers fairs are not confined to the Beijing campus– last year career events were staged in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong for MBA students to meet prospective employers in the Greater China region.

CKGSB’s job fairs also go virtual thanks to its so-called CK Career Portal, the largest career service platform among Asian business schools, and the iCMC mobile application. They keep MBA students and CKGSB alums posted on most recent job vacancies within and beyond the region.

For employers, last week’s event offered a precious once-a-year opportunity to promote brand in Asian’s most elite MBA classes. Companies, like Danaher and Lenovo, sent a group of HR executives to CKGSB to recruit new grads.

Danaher’s campus talk lasted about 90 minutes. To better engage students, Danaher HR team kicked off by demonstrating amazing functions of one of its newly-developed portable product. It also waved simple class exercises into lecture series delivered by corporate executives, HR managers and current employee sharing. “We have to get one back this year,” said one of the Danaher recruiters, “we lost one great CK candidate in 2013 recruiting season.”
