Dr. JIN Zhao is currently an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB). He joined CKGSB in 2020 after receiving his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Rochester.

His research focuses on entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, venture capital, and mergers and acquisitions.

His work in artificial intelligence has been published in a top-tier international academic journal (The Journal of Finance) and has been featured in major media outlets including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Tencent News.

He is the recipient of the American Finance Association (AFA) Brattle Group Prize for Distinguished Paper, becoming the first scholar from a Chinese institution to receive this honor, and he serves as Guest Editor of the Artificial Intelligence Special Issue at China Finance Review International.
