After CKGSB Dean Xiang Bing delivered the keynote speech at the recent China-Korea CEO Forum in Seoul, the Dong-A Business Review, a renowned premium business magazine, featured Dean Xiang’s speech though an eight-page feature spread, highlighting his insights on the world’s current transformation as well as his observation that China and South Korea should be among those taking the lead in searching for problems and suggesting solutions.

In the context of the ongoing US presidential transition and Kissinger’s recent visit to China, CKGSB’s event served as a timely and pertinent platform to shed light on this critical moment in the history of US-China relations.

Dean Xiang Bing of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business shared his insights on the state and prospects of the global and Chinese economies. Throughout the article, he noted that China should pursue economic growth while mitigating income disparity, following Japan’s case in the 1970s-80s. Moreover, Dean Xiang expects the growing start-ups of China to be the country’s future growth engine, in which other countries can also take part.

Having delivered a keynote speech at the recent Alumni event in Vancouver, BC, which focused on the implications of China’s One Belt, One Road initiative, CKGSB Founding Dean Xiang Bing featured in an article by Business in Vancouver, in which he stressed that companies from around the world – not just those from China – have been given the green light to get involved.

Mun-Soo Kim, CEO of SMATOOS has shared his learning experiences of CKGSB’s Korean EMBA program and introduced his business experience. As the pioneer and also leader in the education felid, he wants to broaden his business in global and Chinese market. He mentioned that practical and quality classes and case studies from CKGSB have helped him when he expanded business to China. Not surprisingly, as the entrepreneur in the education area, he says he is very happy when he learns and thinks how to help people learn more easily and fun.

Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business hosted the 5th Dong-A Economy Leader’s Academy (DELA) at its Shenzhen campus on April 28th 2017. This year’s program, themed 'Doing Business in China' included corporate executive from top Korean companies such as Hanwha Life Insurance and Korea Financial Investment Association. Participants received lectures from CKGSB’s top professors on Chinese economics and business, company visits and networking opportunities. The DELA program is considered one of the best economic leader training programs in Korea.

CKGSB’s Dean and Professor of China Business and Globalization Xiang Bing spoke on Mexico’s role in the globalization of Chinese companies and what corporate China’s international expansion drive means for Mexico at the Mexico Business Summit in Puebla.

This year’s China module doubled in number of participants and coincided with One Belt One Road Summit.

The CKGSB MBA China Module took place from May 8-19 and hosted over 80 students from the University of Michigan’s Ross & Spain’s ESIC Business & Marketing School as they join CKGSB’s own MBA students on an intensive two-week program. The program offered academic lectures, business networking, company visits and cultural events as participants experience the best that Beijing has to offer.
