CKGSB will host its annual China-Korea CEO Forum jointly with Dong-A Media Group, one of Korea’s top media groups, in Seoul. Under the heading, “A Joint Growth Strategy for China and Korea in the Era of the Creative Disruption and Innovation,” CKGSB faculty and alumni businesspeople will shed light on latest trends and best practices for operating in the China market and discuss possible collaborations with Korean businesses.

2014-04-18 – On April 7-9, 2014, AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) held its annual International Conference and Annual Meeting (ICAM), the organization’s largest and most anticipated event of the year. Gathering professionals from the top business schools worldwide, ICAM introduced and explored industry topics through new and thought-provoking perspectives. CKGSB Founding Dean Xiang Bing attended the event and spoke about CKGSB’s innovative approach to education.

CKGSB is hosting ‘CKGSB New Year’s Seminar 2016’ with renowned business schools, IMD and aSSIST. In this seminar, CKGSB professors will share their findings on the current changes of China and will also give a detailed introduction about the ‘CKGSB-IMD Dual EMBA Program’ and the ‘CKGSB EMBA on China Business’.

On December 2-3, CKGSB will launch its annual China-Korea CEO Forum at the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul. Under the heading, “A Joint Growth Strategy for China and Korea in the Era of the New Normal,” CKGSB faculty and alumni—comprised of industry leaders in China—will shed light on economic trends and best practices for operating in the China market.

On April 28th, 43 EMBA students and faculty from Mexico’s IPADE Business School visited CKGSB’s Beijing Campus for a 1-day program to learn more about doing business in China and strengthening a mutual understanding of China and Mexico. CKGSB Dean Xiang Bing and Professor Teng Bingsheng served as lecturers during the day-long event.

This conference will convene business and thought leaders — including 40 Chinese CEOs who are part of a joint program between CKGSB and HKS — for a discussion around ways in which companies can accomplish their business goals while also contributing positively to society.

With bilateral trade between China and Japan topping US$340 billion in 2014 and Japan investing more than US$100 billion in China last year, it is more crucial than ever that these two Asian powerhouses can work closely together. Join an impressive line-up of executives from China and Japan to hear where the best opportunities for growth exist and how the two partners can cooperate for greater success.

As China’s largest trading partner, the EU’s fortunes are inextricably tied to those of China – and vice versa. In partnership with economic institute Asia Matters, CKGSB is set to host the EU China Economic and Finance Forum as part of the Sixth EU Asia Top Economist Round Table, featuring CKGSB Dean Xiang Bing and Professor Li Xiaoyang, as well as a cast of other business executives, policy makers and academics.

On May 20th, CKGSB hosted members of The Economist Group in its Beijing campus, including CEO Chris Stibbs. In addition to a school tour and exclusive interview between Mr. Stibbs and CKGSB Knowledge, Founding Dean Xiang Bing and Mr. Stibbs shared their views on global business, continuing education and opportunities for further collaboration.

The CKGSB MBA program will celebrate its 10th anniversary on Saturday, November 23, at the Ancestral Temple in Beijing. Bringing together CKGSB MBA alumni and business leaders from across China, the celebration will applaud the achievements of the past decade and look forward to tomorrow’s success with a special anniversary forum featuring guest speakers from the forefront of Chinese business and education. 

Dr Xiang Bing (pictured below), Founding Dean of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business and Professor of Chinese Business and Globalization, spoke as a keynote speaker at the prestigious Harvard China Forum during which he offered insightful analysis both on the current state of the global economy and on the prospects for Sino-US relations.
