2017-11-22 · Beijing

Today, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) is proud to celebrate its 15th anniversary. In 15 short years, CKGSB has pioneered innovation in business education, by building a global platform, recruiting the best faculty from leading global institutions such as Harvard, Wharton, Stanford and Yale, and continuing to produce some of the very best China insights through a variety of research, journal publications and teaching.

Coinciding with the school’s 15th anniversary, CKGSB will be releasing a series of books, including The CKGSB Story, which highlights the achievements of the school over the past decade and a half; MBA Journey, which profiles selected alumni from the school’s MBA Program; and a Case Study book, which showcases ten of the best cases the school has produced over the years.

Commenting on the school’s 15th anniversary, Xiang Bing, Founding Dean and Professor of China Business & Globalization at CKGSB said, “Since our founding, we have sought to cultivate business leaders with a global vision, a humanistic spirit, a strong sense of social responsibility and an innovative mindset. It gives me immense pride to reflect on the milestones that CKGSB has achieved towards this mission, thanks to the generous support of the Li Ka Shing Foundation and to our innovative approach to management education.”

In fact, innovation is embedded in CKGSB’s DNA. CKGSB is China’s first business school with true faculty governance. Since its establishment in 2002, CKGSB has taken an unconventional approach to business education by focusing on the top-of-the-pyramid to meet the educational needs of C-suite business leaders in developing their companies further and inspiring them to give back to community. This top-down approach has enabled CKGSB to become the preferred choice of more than 10,000 business executives, more than half of whom are at the CEO or Chairman level of top Chinese and multinational companies, such as Huawei, Lenovo, Amazon and Apple.

Over the next 15 years and beyond, CKGSB aims to address the most pressing issues of humanity by continuing to innovate through our cutting-edge programs and research, and working together to find innovative solutions to the future challenges of businesses and society.
