Founded in 1992, Fosun is a Chinese international conglomerate and investment company. In recent years, it has mainly focused on acquiring foreign firms in industries such as healthcare, tourism, fashion and banks. Most recently, it purchased English football club Wolverhampton Wanderers, with the aim of sending them back into the Premier League. Sogou, run by current DBA student Wang Xiaochuan, be largely unknown in the rest of the world, but it is China’s third-largest internet search engine after Baidu and Qihoo 360. The company recently teamed up with Microsoft Bing to form an English-language search engine named Sogou English – another sign that Chinese companies are trying to extend their reach abroad.
